Posted 04/10/01 A panel discussion, "Spinning with the Media: The Interface of Journalism, Law and Ethics," moderated by former O.J. Simpson defense attorney Johnnie Cochran, will take place in Cook Auditorium in the Murdough Center. Scheduled for 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, the event is cosponsored by the Ethics Institute and the Phillips Family Endowment. Other panelists will include Michael Sitrick, author of the book Spin; Washington Post editor Richard Lelby; N.H. Supreme Court Associate Justice Linda Delianis; attorney Stacy Phillips of the law firm Phillips, Lerner and Lauzon; and attorney Tom Holliday, a partner with Gibson, Dunn and Cruther. Cochran, whose celebrity clients have included Michael Jackson, rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg, O.J. Simpson and most recently Sean "Puffy" Combs, has earned both fame and notoriety for his ability to use the press to further the cause of his celebrity clients.
