Space still available at Dartmouth Community Medical School

Space is still available in the six-week Dartmouth Community Medical School series, beginning Thursday, Oct. 5 and ending Thursday, Nov. 9. All sessions are on Thursday evenings and will be held at the Derryfield School in Manchester, N.H.

Titled "Medicine 2000 - New Options, Hard Choices," the sessions will focus on scientific, legal and ethical issues of emerging medical technology. Discussion topics include addiction, genetic testing, HIV and AIDS, environmental toxins, infertility and engineered body parts. Lectures are geared for the public, and each is led by experts from Dartmouth Medical School, Vermont Law School and N.H. state government. Gov. Jeanne Shaheen will be among the speakers at the first session.
