Posted 11/08/00 Tucker Foundation Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Nov. 12-18 * Nov. 12, 6 p.m. Hunger Banquet in Brace Commons. * Nov. 13, 8:30 p.m. Student film on homelessness in Los Angeles, Loew Auditorium, followed by a candlelight vigil and sleep-out in front of Baker library. * Nov. 14, Wasted Food Campaign during dinner at Homeplate. * Nov. 15, 8 p.m. Benefit Concert including the Decibelles and an Alpha Phi Alpha step show among other performers. * Nov. 16, 1 p.m. 30-hour fast kick-off in Tindle lounge featuring Taylor's Campaign, a film about homelessness. During the fast, participants are encouraged to spend food money on non-perishables to be donated to the Listen Center and the Haven. * Nov. 17, 7 p.m. End 30-hour fast with speaker Lola McLane-Bradley in the Tindle Lounge. * Nov. 18, Noon 5K Race Against Hunger starting on the Green, followed by a panel discussion with students and alumni about career and volunteer opportunities, 3—5 p.m. in Collis Café.
