What Can I Do to Help with the Relief Effort?

1. Make an Individual Donation

Making an individual donation is a great way to get involved—and maybe the best way to help. Relief organizations desperately need cash in order to provide food, water, and medical supplies. From Jan. 6- 19th there will be drop boxes for cash and checks. Donations can be made during regular business hours at the following locations:

Tuck Business School, Main Office

Hopkins Center Box Office

Thayer Engineering School, Main Office

Centera Development Office

Thayer Dining Hall, Food Court Registers

Human Resources, Main Office

Hanover Inn Front Desk

Athletics Ticket Office

Medical School Library
Tucker Foundation, Front Desk

Career Services, Front Desk

Students can make Da$h donations at the Collis Information desk during this period as well. In addition, at the websites below (see item 2), you can contribute with credit card or check card to many international organizations.

Important Note: Checks CANNOT be made out to “Dartmouth College”. Make the check out to a particular relief organization; a list of these organizations will be provided at the stations and online.

2. Find more opportunities to get involved

For up to date information on the tsunami relief efforts being organized by the Dartmouth community, check out www.Dartmouth.edu/~news/features/relief . Campus relief efforts will also be listed at http://stuff2do.dartmouth.edu, and even posted on a calendar in the Student Activities Office. Additionally, we have set up the following e-mail account to handle questions about how to help or get involved: Tsunami.Relief@dartmouth.edu.

 3. Find others who are involved

If you’re a member of an organization (student or professional staff) who is not yet involved, see the opposite page for guidelines on how to get your group contributing in the best, most effective way possible. You can also contact the Tucker Foundation with questions about how to get involved. Thank you for your help in this time of need.
