Jim Yong Kim, M.D., Ph.D., Chair of the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School, has been elected the 17th President of Dartmouth by the College’s Board of Trustees. Ed Haldeman, chair of the Board of Trustees, introduced the President-elect at a special meeting of the College on Monday, March 2, 2009 in Spaulding Auditorium of the Hopkins Center.
