Today, some fields of medicine rely on advances in technology, especially, say, through enhanced imaging techniques or improved artificial joints. In this podcast, Michael B. Mayor, the William N. and Bessie Allyn Professor of Surgery at Dartmouth Medical School and an Adjunct Professor of Engineering at Dartmouth's Thayer School of Engineering, talks about how his career has blurred the lines between medicine and engineering, and how he thinks this should be the model for the future.
