Dartmouth Governance

In September, 2007, following a comprehensive study by its governance committee, Dartmouth's Board of Trustees decided to expand to 26 members and to make other changes to the composition, selection process, and structure of the Board. Since September, a number of issues have arisen concerning these decisions, including a lawsuit filed by the Association of Alumni seeking to stop the expansion of the Board and a bill proposed in the New Hampshire legislature that would strip Dartmouth of autonomy to revise its charter.
