Bio:

Orleck is the author of, among other books, Common Sense and a Little Fire: Women and Working Class Politics in the United States and Storming Caesar's Palace: How Black Welfare Mother Fought Their Own War on Poverty. She is co-editor of The Politics of Motherhood: Activist Voices Left to Right. She has also published numerous articles on women's political activism in the United States.
