Bio:

Caldwell is a theoretical cosmologist whose research interests bridge the gap between theories of fundamental physics and physical cosmology. The main focus of his work is the problem of dark energy, the mysterious substance which appears to be the most prevalent form of energy in the universe. Other areas of specialty include the cosmic microwave background, astrophysics, gravitational waves, and the origin of large scale structure.
