  • Roland Adams

    Roland Adams, Director of Media Relations in the Dartmouth Office of Public Affairs, has spent 25 years in higher education communications. A native of Texas, he served as Director of News and Information at the University of Texas at Dallas and later as Director of Public Relations at Vermont Law School before joining Dartmouth in 1990. Earlier he was a newspaper reporter and editor in the Austin and Dallas areas. He received a bachelor's degree in journalism form the University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree in liberal studies from Dartmouth.

    Latarsha R. Gatlin, or Tasha, as she is informally known, has strong experience in both journalism and public relations. From 1997 to 2000 she worked as a reporter for the Bay City (Mich.) Times, covering first the county and then business news. In March 2000 she moved to Savannah, Ga. and worked as a small business reporter at the Savannah Morning News. In September 2001, she accepted a position as a Public Relations Specialist for the City of Norfolk (Va.) in the Department of Communications where she crafted news releases, developed message points and communication plans and worked local and regional media to secure news coverage. She also served as the lead staff writer for the department's many publications as well unofficial speechwriter for the City of Norfolk's executive staff. Tasha has a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College but attended Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., in its journalism program for much of her academic career.

    Sarah Memmi is managing editor of Vox of Dartmouth, the faculty and staff newspaper, and Dartmouth Life, the newsletter for undergraduate alumni and parents. An avid equestrian, she was a writer and account executive at the Equine Journal in Keene, N.H., before coming to Dartmouth in 2005. She is a Vermont native and graduate of the University of Vermont.


  • Steven J. Smith

    Steve Smith joined the Public Affairs team in July 2006 coming to us from Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall School (CH-CH) in Waltham, Massachusetts. At CH-CH, Steve was responsible for the overall communications program, promoting the school through a bi-monthly newsletter, a variety of capital campaign publications, viewbooks, and other marketing materials. Steve is a 1997 graduate of St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, where he obtained a B.A. in English and History. In 2008 he completed a M.A. in Integrated Marketing Communication at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.

    Kelly Seaman joined the Office of Public Affairs in January 2007, after relocating to Hanover from Charlottesville, Virginia, where she wrote for regional magazines on gardening, design, books and parenting. She writes news and features for the College, primarily for Dartmouth Life and Vox of Dartmouth. Kelly holds an A.B. from Davidson College and an M.A. from the University of Virginia, both in English. She loves the opportunity to tell a good story.

  • Corinne A. Girouard

    As periodicals coordinator for public affairs, Corinne designs the print and web versions of Dartmouth Life and Vox of Dartmouth, for which she also edits the calendar of events. From 2003-09 she worked as an assistant designer in Dartmouth's Development office. From 1990-2003, she owned Final Proof Design, offering graphic design to clients in the Upper Valley. Corinne hails from a true Dartmouth family: her father Walter is a professor emeritus of Russian and linguistics, and her brother David is a member of the Class of 1970. Corinne studied photography at Guildford College in Greensboro, N.C., and obtained her BFA in visual design in communication arts from Emerson College in Boston.
