The PlayCube from the Tiltfactor Laboratory, was Dartmouth’s first mobile creative event space, a mobile venue for experimental new media work, unique performances, and demos by students, faculty and visitors. Co-sponsored by the Institute, an opening event was held last summer as part of The Leslie Center for Humanities’ eMotion Summer Arts Festival.
Dartmouth's PlayCube was a recent project of Mary Flanagan, Professor of Film & Media Studies and the inaugural Sherman Fairchild Distinguished Professor in Digital Humanities. She is a recognized pioneer in critical play–a method of using games and play to investigate issues and ideas. Video
