Bennet Vance, Senior Programmer, is a native of Hanover, N.H., where he became an early user of the Dartmouth Time-Sharing System in the mid-1960s. He received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Yale in 1976, and graduate degrees in computer science from Stanford and from the OGI School of Science & Engineering in 1981 and 1998, respectively. He has worked as a software developer and consultant in Silicon Valley and New York. Before joining the Neukom Institute, he held programming positions at Dartmouth in Psychological and Brain Sciences, in Environmental Studies, and at the Institute for Security, Technology, and Society.
