Independent Research in Native American Studies

This course is designed for a studient who wishes to research a particular problem in greater depth than is possible in an Independent Study course (NAS 85). A faculty advisor will be assigned to each student to supervise the work through regular class meetings. Usuually a formal paper embodying the results of the research is required. A student wishing to enroll in this course must first discuss the topic with a faculty member, who will serve as research advisor, and then submit a formal research proposal to the Program. Please consult the rules for NAS 86.

Prerequisite: at least three Native American Studies courses. The Chair.
