Native American students who wish to seek financial assistance from their respective tribes must apply for financial aid using the "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA). Native American students should have an application on file with their respective tribal scholarship office. The following documents are usually required from most tribal scholarship offices:
|
- Tribal Scholarship Application
- Tribal Financial Need Analysis (FNA) form
- High School Transcript
- Letter of Admission
- Certificate of Indian Blood

There are numerous outside philanthropic sources where American Indian students can apply for financial help for college education. Foundations are a good source for these funds. Although we do not have access to information on all foundation resouurces, here are a list of some that Native American students have used in the past to support funding.
