HOW TO UNSubscribe
It's the similar to subscribe instructions, but put "unsubscribe naaad-list
LIST-SERV ETIQUETTE From: Ray Burns
Just to refresh everyone's memories about what is or isn't allowed on the
NAAAD-list list-serve, I am reposting the following.
If you are posting Official NAAAD Business, then in your subject line,
you must place asterisks (*) within the subject line to notify all readers
that this is Official. If you are responding to Official NAAAD Business
with something of import, then place an asterisk within that subject line.
If you are posting Unofficial matter, then there are no asterisks in the
subject line. This gives the reader the option of bypassing and/or
deleting without reading. If you are responding Unofficially, then there
should be no asterisks in the subject line.<<
This has been the SOP for the NAAAD-list since its inception and has been
reposted from time to time to make sure that we're all on the same page
(and to see if anyone actually reads anything I send :-) )
So, basically, if it doesn't have an asterisk, caveat emptor.

HOW TO JOIN the NAAAD LIST-SERV
When you follow these instructions, you are talking to a computer so you must be certain that you type only what is indicated about (no please, no thank you necessary in the body of your message) otherwise the computer will not be able to understand your command. When the computer has read your command, it will send a confirmation to you at the address that it understands you want to use. If you do not receive a message to confirm, you have done something wrong in the first step. Once you receive this message you will have to follow the instructions on the message which you can merely cut and paste back into another message to the majordomo. Again, be sure that your signature file is off when you send a message to majordomo. Once this second part is completed, you will receive a message from majordomo which says Welcome to the Naaad-list mailing list! In the body of this message will be instructions for removing yourself from the list if you need to do so. The purpose of this list is to discuss NAAAD business and to continue to build relationships electronically. Feel free to encourage others to join the list if they are interested in getting involved with NAAAD. Again, just some points of clarification: in order to sign on or sign off, you will send a message to Majordomo@dartmouth.edu. In order to send a message to everyone on the list, you will send a message to naaad-list@dartmouth.edu. If you have a reply-to option on your internet service provider, and you want to reply to a specific person on email, you may need to retype their address in your to: field, otherwise your message may be sent to the entire list (and depending on your intention, may not be desireable). Good luck, let me know if you run into problems. I look forward to continuing our discussion on the listserv. =) Glenna |
