Practice Rooms

There are eleven private practice rooms in the department, four of which have a grand pianos for the use of keyboard students. The other rooms have an upright piano and are available for use by all Dartmouth students, whether or not they are involved in the Music program. The rooms are available from 7 AM to midnight every day, on a first-come basis. Use of practice rooms with a grand piano requires a key; your own personal key for access to rooms may be obtained from the Administrative Assistant in the front office. There is no charge for the key, but these rooms are reserved for music majors and students currently taking piano lessons and the key must be renewed at the end of each term or returned.  Rooms with an upright piano do not require a key and are open during the hours listed above.
