Daniel Weiser, Lecturer, DMA and MM Peabody Conservatory, of Music at Johns Hopkins University; BA Columbia University, also teaches at St. Paul's School in Concord, NH. He is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Classicopia, a new non-profit organization dedicated to promoting professional musicians in Vermont and New Hampshire as well as providing training and concert opportunities for talented young adults. He is also co-founder of the Upper Valley Duo, a violin and piano duo committed to discovering and revitalizing American chamber music. Winners of the 1996 Artistic Ambassador Program Competition, thev toured for eleven months through the Middle East and Asia. Mr. Weiser has participated in the New Hampshire Music Festival, the Musicorda Summer Festival and served as Assistant Director of the Apple Hill Chamber Music Festival. He has also been the Music Director of the Da Corneta Opera Ensemble of Chicago, the Opera North Summer Festival, and Opera New England. A phi beta kappa graduate of Columbia University with a degree in American History, Mr. Weiser spent a year at Harvard Law School before making the leap into the world of music.
