Spring Term Notes

31 March 2009 Welcome to Spring term! Hope everybody had a good time at Red Rocks or wherever you went for break. Rumney is already dry so start sport climbing! Cannon and Cathedral will be drying out soon. The season is upon us so get outside!

Feeds this term are Tuesday nights at 7:00pm in 7 West (directions, its a white house on the right), middle floor. Eat something better than DDS for $3 Dash or cash and hear about gnarly climbing related stuff.

The Climbing Gym is open 5-11pm Sunday-Thursday, 5-8pm Friday, and 7-10pm Saturday. Come climb with us! Check the Climbing Gym Calendar.

1 March 2009 UPDATE we will be holding the Dartmouth Climbing Gym 2009 Intercollegiate Comp on Saturday, March 7 from 1-4pm. Come climb and hang out! All ability levels welcome. We'll have great prizes and great routes. You can find directions here and we'll have signs directing traffic. There will be parking right outside the gym. Hope to see you there! Blitz 'clg' with any questions.

7 January 2009 Hey everybody and welcome to Winter Term '09 "Get Colossal". Time to go to the climbing gym and start bulking up for beach season. Also, check in with DMC chairs Noah Harwood and Mariah Coley to learn about ice climbing trips this term. You can view all of the trips for winter term on the DMC Calendar.

28 September 2008 Welcome everyone (especially 12s!) to Fall '08. After a long, rainy summer, we finally have some sending conditions. So go to Rumney and work on that proj. This term, look forward to a Gunks trip, Dacks trip, and of course plentiful beginner trips.

24 June 2008 Welcome oh-tens and friends to sophomore summmer, or affectionally known as Camp Dartmouth. We have 6 beginner trips, Rumney vans, Cannon and Cathedral vans, and a 4th of July Dacks trip in the schedule. Also, check for new photos and pretty soon the web premiere of Scotty's climbing movie.

13 May 2008 The Gunks trip went out this weekend and from the sick nasty pictures taken professionally by Miguel Peralta '07 it looks like the trip had a good time, even getting a chance to streak Harvard on High E.

26 March 2008 Welcome back from spring break! Red rocks was as good as it gets this year, with almost 30 students and a half dozen alums who stopped by aside from from one random snowday and accidentally sending half the DMC trad gear to colorado. Put your pics up if you have any!

23 January 2008 Dartmouth Climbing Comp is Sunday, February 24th, is open to all undergraduates and features three categories: novice, intermediate, and advanced. The following Saturday, March 1st, is Dartmouth's glorious intercollegiate competition with schools from all around New England competing. We'll need a lot of help to run both of these, so blitz Andrew Palmer if you're interested.

11 January 2008 New pictures are up, including Flynn and Cadwalader's Schlitz sponsored romantic getaway to the alps - check it out! And congrats to Andrew Plamer, the new gym manager. We'll all miss John though.

7 January 2008 The DMC welcomes you back to campus for whats going to be a record snowfall winter. Regular ice climbing trips and clinics will be going out this winter.

13 November 2007 ABS 9 Bouldering Comp this Saturday (11/17) at Petra Cliffs in Burlington, VT. Registration starts at 5pm and the comp is 6-9pm. And this isn't just for experts, so check it out. Blitz Gabriel Martinez for details.

22 October 2007 Re-relaunch of the DMC website. It's been over three years since the last update but an effort is going to be made this year to get back into regularly using this sick nasty site. Check back occasionally for new pictures and climbing related news.
