David Shipler is a former Foreign Correspondent of The New York Times and is the author of the book Arab and Jew: Wounded Spirits in a Promised Land, which won the Pulitzer Prize, and The Working Poor: Invisible in America (Knopf 2004). Mr. Shipler is a Trustee Emeritus.
