Toni Morrison is the award-winning author of Sula, Tar Baby, The Bluest Eye, and Song of Solomon, is the recipient of the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the Academy of Arts and Letters named her Distinguished Writer of 1978. She also received the Cleveland Arts Prize in Literature, the Friends of Writers Award, and the Micheaux Award.
