Edmund Morris, born and educated in Kenya, received the Pulitzer Prize and the American Book Award for his book The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt. A sequel, Theodore Rex is planned. In 1985, Ronald Reagan appointed Mr. Morris as his authorized biographer. His book Dutch: A Memoir of Ronald Reagan will be published in early 1999. He has written extensively on literature, music, travel and the American immigrant experience for Harper's Magazine, The Wilson Quarterly, The New Yorker, and other periodicals. Mr. Morris is a member of the Modern Library Editorial Board.
