David Maraniss

David Maraniss is a reporter for the Washington Post's national staff and author of the best-selling book, First in His Class, a biography of President Clinton. During his 21-year career at the Post, Mr. Maraniss' work has been recognized with journalism's most significant awards including the Pulitzer Prize for his articles on Clinton's life and career, the Hancock Prize for a series on the savings and loan scandal, and the George Polk and Dirksen Awards for his series on the rise and collapse of the Gingrich revolution. His next book, When Pride Still Mattered, a cultural biography of Vince Lombardi, is scheduled for publication in Fall 1999.
