Fred W. Friendly

Fred W. Friendly is a producer of the award-winning PBS series Ethics in America, Fred Friendly is known for his highly acclaimed television programs, spanning many decade, from CBS' See it Now in the 1950s, to the 13-part Emmy Award-winning program on the Constitution first aired in 1984, and the 1992 PBS series on the Bill of Rights. The Edward R. Murrow Professor Emeritus at Columbia University and former president of CBS News, he is a specialist in using the Socratic method–involving panels of people in gripping hypothetical dilemmas that are both engrossing and entertaining.
