Michael Dorris is an Adjunct Professor of Native American Studies and Anthropology and founder of the Native American Studies department at Dartmouth. He is author of Yellow Raft in Blue Water, The Broken Cord, Morning Girl, and The Crown of Columbus, which is the first work of fiction which he co-authored with his wife, Louise Erdrich. (deceased)
