Our Mission
The Dartmouth Model United Nations Conference (DartMUN) is a high-school Model UN conference that takes place every spring on the Dartmouth College campus in Hanover, N.H. Since 2005, DartMUN has offered a unique opportunity for high-schoolers around the world to seek, through discussion, negotiation, and debate, solutions to various global issues. Unlike other Model UN conferences, DartMUN strives to maintain a small conference feel to ensure that every delegate has an enjoyable and educational experience while at our conference.
DartMUN strives to achieve three specific objectives:
-
•Exposing high school students to issues facing the international community and various strategies to address those issues.
-
•Connecting a diverse group of students who are interested in international affairs.
•Inspiring everyone involved in the conference to do their part to make our world a better place.
DartMUN is organized by the Dartmouth Model United Nations Club, a non-profit student-run organization that seeks to introduce potential leaders to the fundamentals of international relations. The conference is managed by over 50 undergraduate students at Dartmouth College, who have a keen interest in the United Nations and international relations. The Dartmouth Model United Nations Club operates under the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding at Dartmouth College.
