This enchanting portrait of a Sesame Street puppeteer pulls back the curtain on Emmy-winning Kevin Clash and his iconic fuzzy red alter-ego. Clash’s vision for Elmo’s character—a quintessential expression of love, joy, creativity, tolerance, courage, friendship, cooperation, learning, and optimism—shines through as narrator Whoopie Goldberg follows Clash from his childhood days crafting a puppet from his father’s trench coat to the present, where he’s one of the most respected puppeteers working today.
