Join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority members and Assistant Professor of African and African American Studies Reena Goldthree for a discussion on modern day perceptions of the “Talented Tenth.” Participants will address questions such as: Is the term itself obsolete or irrelevant? Does it have a negative connotation? If so, why? If this group does exist, what are its obligations? Subway dinner provided.
