At Dartmouth: Herrington made an immediate impact on the Dartmouth team, appearing in all 29 games and finishing tied for second on the team in scoring with 23 points (8g, 15a). He was first on the team in league scoring with 20 points (7g, 13a). Herrington was tied for 21st overall and third among freshman in ECAC league scoring and was named to the All-Rookie team for his efforts. Along with teammate Ryan Chaytors '99, Herrington was second in the league in shorthanded points with four (2g, 2a). Herrington opened his collegiate career with a three-game point scoring streak (11/8-11/14), picking up five points (3g, 2a). In his second three-game point scoring streak (2/12-2/19), he recorded five points (1g, 4a). After a one-game absence from the score sheet, Herrington put together a career-high four-game point scoring streak (2/26-3/6), collecting five points (2g, 3a) to close out the season. He finished the year with seven multiple-point games. Herrington was named ECAC Rookie of the Week (1/11) and also presented the Booma Award with Michael Maturo as the team's top rookie performers.

High School/Juniors: Herrington collected 91 points (46g, 45a) in 58 games with the Cornwall Colts and amassed 74 goals and 161 points in his last two seasons. Herrington finished second in the league in scoring, was a two-time CJHL All-Star and was named the 1998 CJHL All-Star game's most valuable player. Jamie was named the CJHL most valuable player for the 1997-98 season.

Personal: Jamie started playing hockey at six years old and his cousin -- Jeremy Kyte -- plays for UMass-Lowell. Jamie cheers for the NHL's Calgary Flames and for the Anaheim Mighty Ducks' Paul Kariya. Jamie's favorite movie is Braveheart, and John Grisham's "The Firm" is his favorite book.
