| At Dartmouth: Casella was a pleasant surprise to the Big Green coaching staff last season, appearing in 19 games and centering the team's top checking line. He chipped in seven points (3g, 4a), despite missing eight games due to injuries. Casella netted his first collegiate goal and the first of the season for Dartmouth, in an 8-5 win against Niagara (11/8). He picked up his first multiple-point game at Vermont (1/30), scoring a goal and an assist. Casella also potted a goal against St. Lawrence (1/15).
High School/Juniors: Casella was a team captain at Lawrence Academy as a senior, and in 29 games he scored 42 points (13g, 29a). Casella was named an HNIB All-Star, while earning All-Scholastic and All-New England honors his senior year. He was an ISL Keller All-League selection twice while at Lawrence.
Personal: Dan cheers for the NHL's New Jersey Devils and his favorite player is Wayne Gretzky. Dan lists steak as his favorite food, and Dumb and Dumber is his favorite movie. John Grisham's "A Time to Kill" is his favorite book and he likes to watch The Simpsons. |
