| At Dartmouth: Peach could possibly be the Big Green's most gifted offensive defenseman. He made the transition to the blueline from forward in his second season. As a junior, Peach collected 21 points (9g, 12a), finishing fourth on the team in scoring. He was named All-Ivy honorable mention after he had eight points (5g, 3a) in 10 Ivy contests. Peach had two three-game scoring streaks (12/28-1/3 and 2/20-2/27) and five multiple-point games. He was named to the Sheraton/USAirways Classic all-tournament team for his two goal, one assist performance against Providence (2/28). Peach recorded his first collegiate hat trick two games later in a 6-5 overtime loss at Brown (1/3). He finished his sophomore season with a team-high 15 points (2g, 13a) among defensemen, and Peach had five multiple-point games. In his rookie season, he appeared in 10 games, scoring two goals. Peach's first career goal came in his first ECAC game, a 6-2 loss against Union (11/10), and he also scored a power play goal in Dartmouth's 3-3 tie with Vermont (1/27).
High School/Juniors: Peach played for a year with the Langley Thunder of the British Columbia Hockey League. Prior to that, he played with the Richmond Sockeyes Junior B team. In 1992, Peach traveled to Czechoslovakia with a Vancouver all-star team for a tournament.
Personal: Scott enjoys playing the guitar in his spare time. The Vancouver Canucks center Mark Messier is one of Scott's favorite athletes along with Pavel Bure. Scott enjoys playing rugby -- a sport of which he was captain and team MVP in high school. His brother, Sean, will be a junior defenseman at Michigan this season. |
