At Dartmouth: Showalter appeared in four games as a freshman two seasons ago. Troubled by the flu throughout that season, Showalter had trouble getting back into the lineup. He is a hard worker and a talented defenseman who has the ability to make big contributions to the team this season. High School: Chris was a two-year captain and league all-star in high school before making the jump to play his junior hockey for the Philadelphia Little Flyers. Personal: Chris grew up with season tickets to the Philadelphia Flyers and lists his boyhood idol as Mark Howe. His favorite team is the Flyers and Eric Lindros is the player he follows most closely. As a native Philadelphian, his favorite dish is a "real" Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Chris had a late start in hockey, taking up the game at age 13. |
