At Dartmouth: Risk will be counted on by the Big Green to continue his solid style of play at the blueline. He matched his freshman-year point total last season, tallying six assists. Risk appeared in 27 of the team's 30 games as a freshman. He is a solid defender who complements his consistent blue line play with a strong shot on offense. He totaled six points as a rookie on a goal and five assists. His goal came against the defending national champion Boston University Terriers. High School: At Lawrence Academy, Risk was a two-time ISL All-League performer as well as being named a Hockey Night in Boston All-Star. In his final year at Lawrence, he was named the Mid-Atlantic Prep-Private defensive MVP. Personal: Dave is a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and lists the Vancouver Canucks all-star center Mark Messier as his favorite athlete. He enjoys fly fishing and creative writing in his spare time away from the rink, and his favorite food is lobster. When Dave was a senior at Lawrence Academy, he was the lead in the school's production of "Into the Woods." |
