He later had a three-game point scoring streak (2/7-2/14), picking up an assist in each contest. Retter's best game of the season was at Cornell (11/16) were he netted two goals. In his sophomore year, Retter tallied one goal and four assists with his only goal being the game winner against Princeton. As a freshman, he began his collegiate career with the game-winning goal in the season opener against Boston College and ended the campaign with 11 points (6g, 5a).

High School: Retter played his junior hockey with the Wexford Raiders. He was a member of back-to-back Metro League championship teams and an Ontario Region championship.

Personal: Charlie says his favorite road trip is the Upstate New York trek to Cornell and Colgate. "It's a very difficult place to play because it's so loud, but that is what hockey is all about." Among his hobbies, Charlie lists video games -- specifically Sega Genesis Hockey. Charlie's favorite player is Wendell Clark and he roots for Clark's team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
