At Dartmouth: Considered one of the better defensive forwards on the team,
Fleming earned his time on the ice last season for his ability
to check opponent's top lines, his forechecking and for his play
on faceoffs. Fleming scored goals against Brown (1/3) and UMass
(12/14) last season. In his sophomore season, he tallied three
assists in his 26 games, notching his first career points. As
a freshman, Brian impressed the coaching staff with his aggressive
style and cracked the lineup late in the year, playing in eight
games.
High School: Fleming was team MVP and was named to the All-Independent School
League first team while leading the league in scoring in 1993-94.
He also captained the soccer team and was a member of three league
championship teams that went a combined 46-4-8 during his tenure.
Personal: Brian's favorite road trip is to Harvard because his relatives
get a chance to see him play and because while growing up, he
went to as many Crimson games as he could. His least favorite
place to play is at St. Lawrence because of the small rink and
loud, annoying horn. His idol is Winston Churchill because of
his great oratory skill. |
