At Dartmouth: Mainly used on a checking line, Cancelli appeared in 19 games
last season, recording five points (2g, 3a). Cancelli scored his
goals against UMass (12/30) and Rensselaer (11/9). After an impressive
rookie campaign that saw him finish second among freshmen in scoring,
Cancelli appeared in just more than half of the team's games as
a sophomore. He netted his first goal of the season after cracking
the lineup against Colgate. He tallied his second goal against
Yale on an impressive end-to-end rush. As a freshman, Cancelli
scored five goals and dished out 10 assists to finish eighth on
the team in scoring. His first two career goals came against Boston
College and Cornell and fueled Big Green comebacks.
High School: Cancelli played his junior hockey with the Aurora Eagles. Before
joining the Eagles, Cancelli was the leading scorer at Philip
Pocock in 1991-92 with 38 goals and 40 assists for 78 points in
38 games.
