About the trainer: Jeff Frechette joined the Dartmouth training staff in 1981 and was promoted to head trainer in August, 1994. In June, 1986, he served as a volunteer at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and in August, 1987, was a trainer for the tae kwon do team at the Olympic Festival in Raleigh, N.C. In July, 1989, Frechette was trainer for the Hockey East team at the U.S. Olympic Festival in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A 1980 gradualte of West Chester (Pa.) State University, Frechette earned a degree in health and physical education. In 1985-86 he took a leave of absence from Dartmouth to complete his master's degree program in health education at James Madison University. At James Madison he worked with the soccer and baseball teams and the wrestling team that won the Eastern Regional Championship. Frechette presently serves as an elected District 1 representative for National Audio Visual Aids Committee of the National Trainers Association. An avid golfer, he was a standout athlete at nearby Woodstock (Vt.) High School. |
