Alex Dumas

Alex Dumas

At Dartmouth: Alex came into his own as a junior, earning a spot in the lineup with solid play at both ends of the ice. Alex scored his first career goal in Dartmouth's 3-3 tie with Vermont. In that game, he almost single- handedly won the game in overtime when he broke into the Vermont zone all alone and beat the UVM goalie, but his shot found the twine a split- second after the final horn had sounded. He went on to score four goals for the season and dished out nine assists, placing him seventh on the squad with 13 points. In his two previous seasons, Alex had appeared in just 16 games, notching three assists while being hindered by ankle and shoulder injuries.

High School: At Milton Academy, Alex lettered in hockey, baseball and football, earning All-Conference honors in hockey and baseball his senior year. He has been a teammate of fellow senior Owen Hughes since their junior year at Milton, where they skated for Owen's dad, Owen Hughes Sr.

Personal: Alex enjoys playing the guitar and riding his motorcycle in his spare time, and he can complete the Rubik's Cube in under two minutes. His favorite aspect of Dartmouth College is "all the different opportunities that the school gives you." What he likes best about the game of hockey is "the combination of speed, strength, skill and smarts."
