About the coach: Rob Abel returns for his second season as the second assistant coach behind the Dartmouth bench. A 1991 graduate of Williams College with a bachelor's degree in psychology, he was captain of men's varsity hockey, a three-time winner of the team's spirit award and instrumental in coordinating preseason practice. He completed his master's degree in educational psychology from American International in 1995.

After graduating from Williams, Abel played professional hockey for two years in Kirkcaldy, Scotland and Whitley Bay, England. One of four foreign players, he also coached the junior team. Abel maintains dual American and British citizenships.
