At Dartmouth: With soft hands, strong stick handling skills and an accurate shot, David is an offensive threat at just about any time. After a slow start, he came on strong in the second half of the season - tallying 18 points in the final 18 games - and captured the Booma Award as the team's rookie of the year. David's first career goal came on November 12, giving the Big Green a 3-2 victory at Colgate. He also netted five points (one goal, four assists) in the Green's 7-3 victory over RPI on February 10. With the graduation of its top three scorers from last year's team, David should emerge as a more consistent scorer in 1995-96.
High School: In addition to playing his junior hockey with the Penticton Panthers, David earned a total of 15 letters competing in golf, volleyball, basketball and cross country.
Personal: David enjoys playing just about any sport and especially likes golf, waterskiing, fishing and weightlifting. He says Wayne Gretzky is his role model because "he is a classy individual on the ice as well as off the ice." He lists Robert DeNiro as his favorite actor, and David is fond of chocolate and Italian food. David's favorite aspect of hockey is "lighting the lamp - top shelf."
