Brent Retter

Forward

At Dartmouth: A complete, two-way player, Brent enjoyed another strong season for the Dartmouth skaters, playing in 26 games. His goal against Harvard helped the Big Green to its first win in the Crimson's rink since 1980. With the departure of the squad's top three scorers from 1994-95, Brent will be relied upon for more offense. As a freshman, Brent displayed a blend of speed and strength on the way to seven goals and seven assists for 14 points, good for eighth on the squad. Brent got off to a fast start in 1993-94, scoring five goals in the first six games. He had two goals in an 11-4 win over Vermont and tallied two assists in a 7-2 triumph over Yale.

High School: Brent played hockey and lacrosse at Upper Canada College and played his junior hockey with the North York Raiders. He led Upper Canada to the Ontario gold medal in 1992 and was the team's leading scorer.

Personal: Brent's brother, Charlie, had a successful rookie campaign with the Dartmouth varsity hockey team last year. Brent's future plans are to "play hockey for as long as possible and then go into business for myself." His most memorable sports moment came when he scored his first goal in a Dartmouth uniform. It came against Colgate with his parents in the crowd at Thompson Arena.
