Scott Baker

Goaltender

At Dartmouth: After a solid, freshman season between the pipes for the Dartmouth junior varsity team, Scott was slated for another year of jayvee last season. But given a chance to play during the team's trip to Switzerland, Scott won the starting role at midseason and put together a strong campaign. In his first start, he registered 30 saves in a 4-2 victory over Providence and in just his third start, at Princeton, he stopped a career-high 39 shots to help Dartmouth capture a 2-2 tie. An ankle injury sidelined him for four contests in January and February, but upon his return to the ice, the Big Green gained three consecutive victories and five wins in the season's final eight games. For his efforts, Scott was voted the John Manser Award as the varsity team's most improved player.

High School: Scott captained the hockey team at St. George's School and also won letters in lacrosse and football. A superb student, Scott graduated first in his class.

Personal: After graduation, Scott hopes to pursue a career in architecture. His favorite food is steak, and he likes to listen to the Beastie Boys. Scott has a budding interest in tae kwon do and thinks the toughest rink to play at is Brown, "because the fans are relentless and they're directly over my back."
