| At Dartmouth: Martin appeared in all 34 games last season and posted a career-high 10 points (2g, 8a). He was third overall among defensemen in scoring. Martin scored his two goals in a three-game span. His first came in a win at Colgate (2/17) and then two games later he touched the twine at Yale (2/24). Martin had assists in back-to-back games at Vermont (1/6) and then at home against Colgate (1/12). As a freshman, Martin finished fifth among defensemen in scoring with six points (4g, 2a) in 24 games played. Martin missed six games with a knee injury suffered in Dartmouths first game of the season, against Harvard (11/5). He netted his first multiple-goal game, including the gamewinner, in the Big Greens 5-1 victory against Union (1/8). Martin then put together a three-game point-scoring streak (1/28-2/3) as he recorded two goals and an assist. He netted the gamewinning goal in a 2-1 win at Union (2/3) with just 40 seconds remaining in regulation.
High School/Juniors: Martin played for St. Johns Prep and captained the team his senior year. He was named to both the Boston Herald and Boston Globe All-Scholastic teams. Martin finished the season with 27 points (8g, 19a) and graduated as a three-time Catholic Conference All-Star and a two-time team most valuable player. Hockey Night in Boston awarded him with the Catholic Conference defensive player of the year award.
Personal: Martin cheers for the Montreal Canadiens and cheers for 2002 USA captain Chris Chelios. Martin lists The Shawshank Redemption as his favorite movie.
