At Dartmouth: Costa appeared in 24 games as a freshman and added four points (2g, 2a). He scored the first goal of the season for the Big Green at Western Michigan (11/4) and then scored again in Game Two of the ECAC quarterfinals against Rensselaer (3/10). Costa had an assist on a goal against St. Lawrence (3/2) and then assisted on a goal against Harvard (3/17) in the consolation game at Lake Placid.

High School/Juniors: Costa played for the Danville Wings of the North American Hockey League and collected 35 points (18g, 17a) in 54 games as the Wings won the NAHL Championship. He was an Atlantic-Southeast Select 15, 16 and 17 team member and has participated in the US National Select tournaments.

Personal: Costa lists the Washington Capitals as his favorite NHL team and former Boston Bruins 50-goal scorer, Cam Neely, as his favorite player. Costa enjoys listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers and names Animal House as his favorite film. Away from the rink, Costa enjoys playing lacrosse and attending concerts.
