At Dartmouth: Gillings is expected to be a key contributor to the Big Green offense after adjusting to the college game. Gillings appeared in 22 games as a freshman and chipped in two assists. He set up a Craig Lund goal in a 4-3 overtime loss to St. Lawrence (1/28) and he picked up an assist on Lund's ECAC playoff goal at Rensselaer (3/11).

High School/Juniors: Gillings is a product of the North Battleford North Stars from the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL). He picked up 63 points (30g, 33a) and is a two-time all-star and an assistant captain. Gillings was also presented with the North Battleford Fan's Award.

Personal: Gillings lists Rounders as his favorite film and enjoys listening to the Tragically Hip. He cheers for the NHL's Edmonton Oilers and lists Paul Kariya of the Anaheim Mighty Ducks as his favorite player. Gillings began playing hockey when he was five years old.
