High School/Juniors: Costa joins the Big Green after a successful season with the Danville Wings of the North American Hockey League. Costa collected 35 points (18g, 17a) in 54 games as the Wings won the NAHL Championship last season. He was an Atlantic-Southeast Select 15, 16 and 17 Team Member that have participated in the US National Select Tournaments. Costa is a good skating two-way forward who plays a physical game. He has a strong shot and led the NAHL in game-winning goals with six.

Personal: Costa is the son of Gene Costa and Kim Harkness. He lists the Washington Capitals as his favorite NHL team and former Boston Bruins 50-goal scorer, Cam Neely, as his favorite player. Costa enjoys listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers and names Animal House as his favorite film. Away from the rink, Costa enjoys playing lacrosse and attending concerts.
