Welcome, Gentles

The Medieval Enthusiasts at Dartmouth is a Dartmouth group dedicated to the study and reenactment of the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Many of our members are also members of the Society for Creative Anachronism, but membership in the SCA is by no means required to enjoy our on-campus activities! We are open to all members of the Upper Valley community. Our regular meetings are Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., in 102 Sanborn (the Medieval Room). Drop in and see what we’re all about!

Upcoming meetings and events in Fall 2010:

Wednesday, September 22: Student Activities Fair

Collis Commonground from 5-7pm.

Stop by to see what we’re about.

Date TBD: Inn at Knotty Crossing & Novice Schola

12-9 PM, At the DOC house, on Occum Pond

Welcome to Dartmouth’s own medieval traveler’s inn! Join us for an afternoon and evening of medieval games, good company, and an amazing feast. Foods of such astounding quantity and wondrous variety as you have never before tasted will be served, along with entertainment, games, and a roaring fire. Be sure to pre-register if you plan on attending the feast, by blitzing MEaD; registrations are required for the feast, and seating is limited to 30.

Mailing Lists

Want to stay up-to-date on all our events? Dartmouth folks can monitor our blitz bulletin (Medieval Enthusiasts at Dartmouth); we also have two different mailing lists. The first is our announcement list, which we use to announce our meetings and other special events. To sign up for this list, just blitz “Garb” and ask to be added! The second list is our Yahoo Group, which is more discussion-oriented. We use this list to plan events and discuss matters of mutual interest. Anyone interested is welcome to sign up, but keep in mind that this list generates much more traffic than our once- or twice-a-week announcement list. The Yahoo list is moderated to prevent spamming; if you are signing up with a non-Dartmouth e-mail address, it would be best to e-mail us first to request an invitation to join.
