Symposium Objectives

  • Identify a practical approach to understanding people’s spiritual values and concerns.
  • Describe two qualities of healing environments and how they may be cultivated.
  • Describe the role of at least one of the following in spiritually-sensitive care; people’s belief systems and religious traditions, creative expression, personal centeredness and intention, and understanding of suffering.
  • Identify one meaningful insight or approach from this symposium that you will be taking with you as you return to your work or community setting.

 

Audience

People involved with health care and human services, the religious community, education, business, and other interested community members are encouraged to attend.
