The ABI Prism 7700 Sequence Detection system uses 96 well optical grade plates and caps. You set up your sample sheet and the PCR reactions in your lab then bring your 96-well plate and a zip disk to the MBCore, Vail 201. A Sample Sheet will be set up on the MAC G3 and your samples run. The run takes about 2 hours for cDNA and 2.5 hours for RNA reactions.

- Rapid thermal ramp to 95 degrees C , hold for 10 minutes
- 95 degrees C for 15 seconds
- Ramp to 60 degrees C, for 1 minute
Repeat for 40 cycles.
This machine will not do a 4 degree hold, condensation can fog the ccd.
