It is extremely rewarding to work with Mascoma Clinic. We feel that the clinic is an incredible resource for the community and for DMS and we would like to stress that everyone is welcome to participate, but that strong commitment is particularly valuable to its operation.

The clinic is staffed by 4 DMS students and 1 DHMC resident, 2 nights per month. As a student volunteer, you interview the patient, perform any physical exam skills you feel comfortable doing, which are appropriate, and present your patient to the resident. You and the resident work together to assemble a diagnostic picture, an assessment and a plan of care. You will complete the note and have an opportunity to see your knowledge in action, learn a lot, and HELP PROVIDE A VALUABLE SERVICE TO LOCAL COMMUNITIES.
