Like any college/university town, rental housing in the Hanover area can be hard to find. There is limited graduate housing but it is necessary to apply early in order to secure obtain a place. The Dartmouth Real Estate Office also maintains a list of upper valley rental listings.

 Employment

Many M.A.L.S. students work part-time while they are taking their classes or writing their thesis. There are many employment opportunities on campus and in the towns of Hanover and Lebanon. The local newspaper is the Valley News and they do have some local listings but it is hard to obtain employment before coming to the area.

Recreation

 Events at Dartmouth

The Upper Valley offers a plethera of activities for the athlete or outdoors person. Besides the Dartmouth College athletic facilities and programs, there is skiing at the Dartmouth Skiway, riding at Morton Farm, boating on the Connecticut River and Mascoma Lake, Golf at the Hanover Country Club, tennis, skating and numerous fitness centers.
